Panasonic SunX Digital Pressure Switch DP2-42

Panasonic Corporation, formerly known as Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. was found in 1918 as a lightbulb socket producer. It has since grown to be one of the most recognizable Japanese companies. In 2000 Matsushita Electric became a majority shareholder in SunX. Taking on and integrating a number of their products from sensors, switch, and other electronic components.

A pressure switch is used to close an electrical contact when a certain set fluid pressure has been reached on it input. The switch may be designed to make contact based on a set of “if-then” statements. For example, if the pressure rises, then switch makes contact. Or if the pressure falls, then make contact. Pressure switches are used in a number of industrial applications to help supervise control systems.
